Water is a precious commodity that all living things on Earth need for their survival. Here are a few facts about water and how clean water is accessed.

The importance of clean water can never be neglected. 75% of the human brain is made up of water and the body constantly needs clean water in order to remain healthy and function well.
Impure drinking water kills more people worldwide than either war or violence.
There is a myriad of ways to purify water. One of them is to use a water filter–water filters are simple, quick, and effective and can maintain a constant supply of clean water fit for human consumption.

More than 80% of water waste is left untreated and is dumped directly into rivers and oceans.
A high-tech way of purifying water is to treat it with ultraviolet rays. The EV rays destroy the DNA of the water contaminants. This water purification process is called ultraviolet germicidal irradiation.
Bleach is also a good choice for cleaning water. Although it seems dangerous and counterproductive, using 1/8 teaspoons of bleach in one gallon of water can kill germs within half an hour. However, the bleach method is only to be used in case of an emergency.
